I just got this photo of my parents from my younger sister Bernardine on this Monday morning of June 24th, which is the feast day of St. John the Baptist.
They were married in late November in 1934 at St. Bernard's Church on Lincoln Street in Worcester, Massachusetts.
My Father;s name is John Francis Dolphin, jr. and my Mother Mary Anne Jackson. My Father was born on March 6th in 1908
the second child and first son to Mary E. O'Suivan and John Francis Dolphin in Worcester, Massachusetts and my Mother, Mary Anne Jackson on August 23rd 1913 and the first child to
Kathleen  MacManus her Mother and her Father patrick Jackson.
She was the firsr child in a family of 13 children in County Fermanagh and a small village of Corgh in Northern Ireland.
Our parents wedding Daywas always celebrated on Thanks giving Day which was the 4th Thursday of the month of November.
After their wedding , Mom and Dad travelled in Dad;s Model T. Ford  heading for Niagra Falls in New York State.  However the roads were icy in Western Massachusetts going towards Albany, New York,  The car slid of the road and apparently sh thought she was in heaven. But Dad got the car fixed in Albany, New York through afriend he knew..
The travel plans were changed and they went to New York City and the did their Christmas shopping in the big department store of Macy's..

A very young girl by the name of Mary Anne Jackson is standing behind the five older women on the ship  "Baltic" going to Boston Massachusetts in 1929.  She is only 16 years old, the oldest daughter of her young family. She is from Derrylin, in County Fermanagh, Ireland.
She is the first of 13 children.  Her Father is Patrick Jackson and Mother Kathleen.

Francis (Latin: Franciscus, Spanish: Francisco, Italian: Francesco) born as Jorge Mario Bergoglio;[b] born 17 December 1936) is the 266th and current pope of the Catholic Church,[2] a position also holding the roles of Sovereign of Vatican City and the Bishop of Rome.
Born in Buenos Aires as the son of Italian parents, Bergoglio worked briefly as a chemical technician before entering seminary. He was ordained a priest in 1969. From 1973 to 1979 he was Argentina's Provincial superior of the Society of Jesus, became Archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998, and cardinal in 2001. Following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, on 13 March 2013 the papal conclave elected Bergoglio, who chose the papal name Francis in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. Francis is the first Jesuit pope, the first pope from the Americas, and the first from the Southern Hemisphere. [3]
Throughout his life, both as an individual and a religious leader, he has been noted for his humility, his concern for the poor, and his commitment to dialogue as a way to build bridges between people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faiths.[4][5][6] Since his election to the papacy, he has displayed a simpler and less formal approach to the office, choosing to reside in the Vatican guesthouse rather than the papal residence.
In recent months we have had a change in Popes due to the sudden retirement of Pope Benedict XVI for health reasons.
For this reason that I share with you this brief biography of this new Pope who comes from Latin America and is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is  the first Pope that is from a religious community, in this case from the Jesuits. He is a very humble person and deeply concern about the poor and forgotten people in this world of ours today.
