This is a photo of me when I was a lot younger of course at the beach which could be Nantasket beach or at the beach in Marshfield where the Arena family had a cottage. I enjoyed swimming very much and when I was in the Bot Scouts, I took a course in becoming a life guard.
However I had the experience of being caught in a rip tide or a change in the ocean current. I was being pulled out to sea and my sister Bernardine was aware of this and called another person to grab me and pull me in from the changing tide.
